Newsvine Pet Peeves

Ok, the election is over and although there are a lot of hot topics concerning the 'vine right now I thought maybe we could vent some frustrations and have a little non political fun at the same time. I'm talking about Newsvine Pet Peeves. I suppose they could be pet peeves for any internet forum but we all have something that makes our our virtual blood boil, let's hear it.

For me, it's misspelled insults. Here's one recent line I saw...

To say you are dummer than a rock is an insult to the rock

It wasn't directed at me and I won't give up who said it or who it was directed at but for the love of dogs, if you're going to insult someone's intelligence, spell it correctly!

Another one of my favorites along the same lines it the use of the word 'stupider'. No one on the internet is more stupid than he who uses the word 'stupider', especially when trying to assert they are on some higher level of intellect than the person whose intelligence they are attempting to insult.

Alright kids, have fun and fight nicely! :)

One of the things that really irks me is the lowlifes who insult the President by misspelling his name: Obummer, O'bama, etc. While Bush was in office for eight years I was not happy about any of his decisions, but I never stooped to the juvenile insult of name-calling.

The people who call him Hussein are even worse. Who among us is responsible for his own name?

The other side of this is the feeling now they know how I felt for eight long and miserable years. They're not handling it with the perseverance or the dignity I had. Let's not forget: we still don't know who really won that election in 2000, do we?

I wonder...
