WASHINGTON -- Mayor Daley revved up a coalition of mayors Thursday to urge the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold Chicago's handgun ordinance in the wake of the Illinois State Rifle Association challenge to be argued March 2.

Here for the winter meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Daley also went to the White House with other mayors for a session with President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. And in his role as the "mayor of mayors," he also hosted a reception for other Illinois mayors.

The Illiois chapter of the NRA is challenging Chicago's handgun ban in the SCOTUS. The hypocrit who wanders around with armed security supports the ban on personal protection said this , "Today, we stand here on behalf of the people of Chicago and the United States who have been victims of gun violence, on behalf of their families and loved ones and on behalf of all those who believe Chicago's current gun law is constitutional."
